I've been building systems people run their daily work on for twenty years now: booking platforms, knowledge bases, administrations, calculation engines. Work where a mistake isn't a bug but a problem for a real customer. That teaches you one thing thoroughly: something shouldn't look smart, it should be correct, and you need to be able to show that it's correct.

What you can expect from me
Then AI came along. I saw what it can mean for people who work with knowledge, and I saw how it gets sold: systems that make up sources, promises nobody can keep, and nowhere anyone who signs their name to it. That clashes with everything I learned in twenty years. That's why I do this work: not because AI is new, but because the way it gets deployed is often no good, and because I know how it can be done properly.
I work from Tenerife for Dutch organisations, in Dutch.
What you can expect from me, you can check. Every claim in my reports carries a label: source, observation, judgement or assumption. What I don't know is stated honestly. I don't give legal advice, but I do give you the questions for your lawyer. And sometimes my conclusion is that you don't need AI at all; that advice is free. I work alone, deliberately: what I deliver carries one signature, and it's mine.
